Bridleways Associations BHS Access Cornwall Home Page

Bridleways Associations are most valuable organisations for preserving and looking after our bridleways and ridden paths.

  • Locally they monitor and report on the condition of our paths, obstructions and any other issues that can prevent our paths form being enjoyed.
  • They bring riders and other users together and keep them informed, often by a regular newsletter.
  • Associations often provide voluntary effort for clearing paths that have become overgrown to supplement the work of the county and the parishes.
  • Support of these associations shows to the local councils and the county how important our paths are.
  • Bridleways association have succeeded in getting many more of our ridden paths made into definitive bridleways
  • Associations often organise activities such as bridleway rides and other social events.
