The BHS and Cornwall County Council have been working in partnership in the planning of the new Trail.Such a trail will have substantial economic benefits. Existing new trails such as the Camel Trail and the newly opened 'Trails to Eden' are a great success. The Kernow Horse Trail will be the first in Cornwall to be specifically provided with horse riders in mind. Press Release October 2007: The first stage feasibilty study is complete. A route has been planned and surveyed. The next and more difficult phase about to commence is to find funding for its implementation. Although much the route of the trail is already ridden, many parts have no legal status, and many require improvements. New trail segments are also required to complete the route and improve safety to avoid busy roads and crossings. |
